The new liquid nitrogen fertilizer urea ammonium nitrate solution (abbreviated as UAN) is a water-soluble fertilizer processed by the ammonium nitrate solution and urea solution formed by the neutralization of synthetic ammonia and nitric acid. The global consumption is about 22 million tons, mainly concentrated in developed countries. Compared to other nitrogen fertilizers, urea ammonium nitrate solution has several advantages:
- First, the production process reduces the energy consumption of the drying granulation process;
- The second is that it contains three kinds of nitrogen in the form of nitrate, ammonium and amide, which is beneficial to the efficient absorption of plants and the nitrogen cycle of soil;
- Third, the product is neutral and will not cause soil acidification;
- Fourth, it has good compatibility and compatibility;
- Fifth, the product is stable in nature, safe and convenient for storage and transportation.
Since 2015, the output of urea ammonium nitrate solution in China has exceeded 400,000 tons, which has refreshed the traditional situation of urea fertilizer production for several decades. The relevant production standards have been introduced and are being landed in China with a complete industrial appearance. The China Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry Association and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences have launched the pilot demonstration of urea ammonium nitrate solution and the research and development of supporting technologies, which will be widely applied to agricultural production.
