First, the technology involves comprehensive research on crocodile growth habits, domestication, breeding techniques, and deep processing. By optimizing the farming environment and incubation conditions, the hatching rate and survival rate of young crocodiles can be significantly improved. Additionally, the utilization of adult crocodiles in processing is enhanced. To support this, we focus on training aquaculture professionals and promoting a model of "company + base + farmer households," which helps drive local farmers toward prosperity while achieving both social and economic benefits.
In terms of equipment, full automation in processing is introduced, including breeding and incubation systems, as well as upgraded automated lines for crocodile slaughter. The machinery involved includes wooden and metal drums, stainless steel tanks, plate presses, leather machines, sprayers, grinders, embossing machines, splitting machines, shaving machines, dryers, meat processing equipment, and testing devices. These tools ensure efficiency and high-quality output throughout the production chain.
The project titled “Crocodile Farming†and “Study on Artificial Culture of Crocodile Seedlings†was awarded the Science and Technology Progress Award in Sihui City for 2003 and 2004 respectively, highlighting its innovation and impact.
Regarding economic benefits, the project aims to hatch 10,000 seedlings annually, resulting in an annual output of 10,000 crocodiles and the processing of 100 tons of crocodile products. Once completed, the project is expected to generate an annual production value of 260 million yuan, with a profit and tax income of 40 million yuan and foreign exchange earnings of 13 million US dollars.
Breaking it down: (1) The industrial aquaculture sector will contribute 60 million yuan in new production value, 10 million yuan in profit and tax, and 3 million US dollars in foreign exchange. (2) The crocodile processing industry will add 200 million yuan in output value, 30 million yuan in profit and tax, and 10 million US dollars in foreign exchange through the export of crocodile meat, dried meat, and leather. This not only boosts the economic efficiency of enterprises but also plays a key role in helping local farmers achieve wealth and sustainable development.
