First, the technology introduction: This project focuses on the study of crocodile growth habits, domestication, breeding techniques, and deep processing. By improving the environmental conditions for farming and incubation, we aim to enhance the hatching rate and survival rate of crocodiles, as well as optimize the utilization of adult crocodiles. In addition, we will strengthen technical training for aquaculture, promoting the development of a crocodile breeding and processing industry through a model of "company + base + farmer households." This approach not only helps increase the income of local farmers but also brings both social and economic benefits.
Next, the full automation of processing equipment includes advanced breeding and incubation systems, as well as the improvement and renovation of existing automated lines for crocodile slaughter. The equipment involved consists of wooden drums, iron drums, stainless steel drums, plate presses, leather machines, sprayers, leather grinders, embossing machines, splitting machines, shaving machines, dryers, meat machines, testing equipment, and more. These tools ensure efficient and high-quality processing throughout the production chain.
The "Crocodile Farming" and "Study on Artificial Culture of Crocodile Seedlings" projects were awarded the Sihui City Science and Technology Progress Award in 2003 and 2004, respectively, recognizing their significant contributions to the field.
II. Economic Benefits:
The project is expected to hatch 10,000 seedlings annually, producing 10,000 crocodiles per year, with 100 tons of crocodile products processed annually. Once completed, the project is projected to generate an annual output value of 260 million yuan, with an annual profit and tax of 40 million yuan and an estimated foreign exchange earning of 13 million US dollars.
Breakdown of the economic benefits:
(1) Industrial Aquaculture: It is expected to contribute an additional 60 million yuan in annual output value, 10 million yuan in profit and tax, and 3 million US dollars in foreign exchange earnings.
(2) Crocodile Processing Industry: This sector is anticipated to add 200 million yuan in annual output value, 30 million yuan in profit and tax, and 10 million US dollars in foreign exchange through the export of crocodile meat, dried meat, and crocodile leather.
By focusing on high-value exports, this project not only improves the efficiency of enterprises but also plays a key role in helping local farmers achieve prosperity.
