"A feed four supplements" to improve the survival rate of piglets

After the piglets are born, they should be fed as early as possible to raise the temperature of the pig house and supplement the trace elements such as iron, copper, and selenium, so as to increase the survival rate of the piglet.

One feed

After birth, the piglets do not have immunity and can not produce antigens themselves. Only by eating sow's colostrum, they rely on antigens provided by maternal mothers in colostrum to gradually form auto-antibodies, thereby improving the ability to resist diseases.

In the feeding of colostrum it must be done:

1. Within 2 hours after sow giving birth, first wash the sow's breast with warm soapy water, and then use 0.04% potassium permanganate solution to prepare a 0.04 potassium permanganate solution to repeatedly wash the sow's teat, wash and disinfect it. A good dry towel is ready for feeding.

2. According to the characteristics of sow lactation, from the first feeding of colostrum, the discharge of small and weak piglets is positioned on the three pairs of teats in front of the sow, and the discharge of strong body and large body is positioned on the four pairs behind. Nipples, patience and repeated insisted for about 1 day, until all the pigs fixed position, before the nurse can be placed in the sows in the sow column for free feeding.

3. After each feeding of piglets, place the pigs in a nurturing bar (box) or in a nest or quail.

4. At any time pay attention to grasp the pig's full, warm dynamics (where the little pigs do not cry for sleep to moderate warmth).

Four supplements

1 temperature compensation

Newborn piglets have poor ability to regulate body temperature. The piglets born in the cold autumn and winter early spring in the cold north and the south are particularly afraid of the cold. Therefore, it is very necessary to properly recharge the newborn piglet. There is a thermal equipment to clean the pig's body surface and put it in a warming device (32°C~30°C) to rest. Non-insulated equipment shall be prepared with sterile litters and oysters within two days before delivery, and bedding mats with good poisonous insulation. A 60-watt electric bulb shall be installed 35 cm to 40 cm above the center of the nest. After the pig is born, it will be put into the nest and the inside of the bowl to turn on the electric lamp, and a layer of 2 layers of sterile gauze will be placed on the nest and the mouth of the bowl to facilitate ventilation. Warm-up period and quota. The required temperature for the 1st to 3rd days of the piglet production is 32°C~30°C, 30°C~28°C for 4 days to 7 days, 28°C~26°C for 8 days to 28 days, and 24°C for 29 days to 40 days. At ~22°C, the relative balance between temperature and room temperature is stable, and the piglet is defrosted. If the temperature difference between the supplemental temperature and the room temperature is too large, the defrosting time may be extended.

2. Iron, copper, selenium and other trace elements

Three days after the piglet was born, 2.5 grams of ferrous sulfate (more than 20% iron content) and copper sulfate (more than 25% copper content) were dissolved in 1000 ml cold water. Put the mixture into the bottle with the mouth to suck the pigs. You can also drop the mixture directly into the mouth of the piglet, once or twice a day, feeding 10 milligrams each time, continuously for 4 weeks to 6 weeks; Can also use dextrose iron-cobalt mixture directly to the pig muscle or subcutaneous injection of 1 ml to 2 ml, 7 days after injection 1 injection.

Three days after the piglets were born, 0.1% sodium selenite was injected intramuscularly, 0.5 ml per head, and 1 injection at weaning.

3. Nutrition

After the birth of the piglet, as the age increases, the weight gains rapidly and the consumption of substances increases. However, the amount of lactating sows decreases day after day at the age of 30 days. Therefore, supplementing nutrient feeds for piglets can not only increase the amount of substances needed for growth, but also improve the exercise of digestive tract function earlier. In the environment where the pH of the piglets is adjusted, the piglets must grasp the three technical links “early, full, and busy”.

"Early": After the piglets are born 8 days to 10 days old, they are crushed with fried fragrant grains, beans, and a little sugar to make corn. They are often placed in piglets for import and export, or in cultivating stalls for piglets to sniff and feed.

“All”: When the sedating piglet can learn to eat at 15 days to 20 days of age, it should promptly provide a full price feed for piglets (3.2 megakascal to 3.3 megacalories per kilogram of digestible protein, crude protein 20%~21%, calcium 0.8%, phosphorus 0.6%, salt 0.25%~0.3%, crude cellulose less than 4%, carotene 150 mg and trace elements, vitamins, amino acids) for piglets.

“Wang”: The piglet grows from 25 days old to 30 days old until weaning, and the growth and development of the piglets is particularly strong. The whole pig feed will be full-fledged and full-fed, and the “multiple meals, controlled amount, and night spots” will be fed. Methods, fed 5 to 7 times per head per day, including nights at 12:00 must be arranged to feed 1 night, piglets eat 90% full meal is appropriate.

4. Make up water

Piglets (including lactation) are very strong in growth and development, and their metabolism is particularly strong and their water requirements are high. Three days after the piglet is born, it starts to supply clean drinking water. It can prevent the piglet from causing infectious diseases by drinking thirsty water or urine. Adding 0.02% potassium permanganate solution to drinking water can prevent and reduce the occurrence of common diseases in digestive tract of piglets. Drinking utensils should be frequently rinsed and disinfected to keep them clean and free from germs.
