Character identification
(1) Biotite schist: The main scale-like or sheet-like aggregates. Irregular flat block or long oblique block, no obvious edges and corners. Brown black or green black. With a glassy luster. Soft, fragile, cross-section was more obvious lamellar; crushed powder is black or green black scales (biotite), there is a star-like flash. Gas slightly, tasteless. Green black, soft and fragile, shiny is preferred.
(2) Chlorite-mica carbonate schist is granular and small scale-like aggregates, irregular block. Grey or greenish grey, with silver or light yellow scales, with a pearlescent sheen. Soft, fragile, crushed powder is gray-green small scales (chlorite mica tablets) and white-like particles (mainly carbonate), flake with star-like flash. Dilution of hydrochloric acid occurs in the air, and the mixture boils after heating. Gas slightly, tasteless. It is better to use grey-green and shiny ones.
