Application of Plant Growth Regulator (GGR) to Beet

Sugar beet is the main sugar source in northern China. Provinces (regions) such as Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Gansu, Xinjiang, and Shanxi are China's major sugar beet production areas and beet sugar production bases. Since 1994, he has started researching plant growth regulators in order to achieve high yield, high sugar, and high efficiency. From 1995 to 1999, the GGR application area reached 5.2hm2, the yield increase rate was 13.65-39.7%, and the net increase production value was 8,265 yuan. Obvious economic, social and ecological benefits.

First, test results and differences

(I) Test methods

There are different methods such as GGR No. 7 soaking, foliar application (seedling development 4 periods, June 1st) and ABT No. 5 soaking, foliar spraying, and the control (CK) area.

The measured output of mature process was increased by 15.62% with GGR No. 7 soaking treatment, ranking the first place. ABT5 soaked seed treatment increased production 13.78%, ranking second. GGR No. 7 leaf spray treatment increased production by 11.81%, ranking third. ABT5 leaf spray treatment increased 10.61%, ranking fourth.

The determination of the root sugar content and fork root ratio at the ripening stage showed that the soaking treatment of GGR7 was 16.43 and 4.1%, the leaf spray treatment of GGR7 was 16.30% and 4.7% respectively, and the soaking treatment of ABT5 was 16.30% and 5.0%, respectively. The ABT5 leaf spray treatment was 16.25% and 5.4%, respectively; the control zone was 16.00% and 10.3%, respectively. The results showed that the sugar content of roots treated with GGR increased significantly from 1.88% to 2.66%, which significantly increased the commodity value and processing value of sugar beet.

(B) Different dosage forms and dose screening tests

The screening results showed that the combination of GGR7 and 15mgkg-1 had the best effect, followed by GGR8, 15mgkg-1 and ABT5 15mgkg-1.

Second, production promotion and application effect


(I) Application effect of sugar beet station in Zhexi sugar factory in Jilin Province

GGR7 No. 15mgkg-1 dose soaked for 2h, dry and so on. The treated beet plants are luxuriant, with dark green leaves, large leaves, and strong drought tolerance. The hectare yield measured during the mature period was 22925.4kg, and the yield increased 38.8%. The tuber root sugar content rate GGR7 was 20.06% for the soaking treatment and the control was only 18.2%. The sugar content of the treated roots increased by 20.22% compared to the control. The production and application of 500hm2 that year, the net increase in production value of 2.05 million yuan, and achieved significant economic benefits.


(II) Effect of the Old Lai Prison in Heilongjiang Province


Use GGR7 45mgkg-1 dose, soaking for 12h, can be sown after drying. Measured root yields during the ripening process, treated 2 667 kg of hectares, 19041.8 kg of control yield, 37.9% higher yield than the control, 19.8% of the root sugar content soaked seed treatment, 18% of the control, and 10% more soaking treatment than the control; , Has been widely promoted and applied.


(III) Application Effect of Improved Plants in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region


In 1995-1999, the optimal combination of GGR7, 15mgkg-1, and 2h soaking was used. The yield per hectare during the harvesting period of 5 years averaged 2,9562.4 kg for seed soaking, which was a 35.5% increase over the control (21817.3 kg). The cumulative application for 5 years was 4860 hm2, and the net increase in production value was 19.862 million yuan.

(4) Application effect of 624 agricultural and pastoral farms in Inner Mongolia


(1) Live beet on dry land: use GGR7, use 20mgkg-1 dose and soak seed for 6h. The results of the test at the ripening stage showed that the soaking treatment increased the yield by 25.3%, and the root sugar content increased by 4.8%. Due to severe drought in recent years, and the No.7 soaking treatment, the emergence rate was 19.6% higher than that of the control, and the seedlings were full-grown and strong, and the Qimiao was started 4-6 days earlier. During the prosperous period of leafy clumps, it was also affected by the drought. The soaked seedlings on the 7th had a good performance in the fertility treatment, indicating that it had the multiple functions of water storage, drought tolerance, disease resistance and stress resistance.


(2) Paper tube nursery: The seeds were soaked with GGR7, 15mgkg-1 agent for 8h and allowed to dry after sowing. After seed soaking, the seedlings are vigorous and tidy, and the seedlings are advanced 3-5 days in advance. The seedling rate was investigated 15 days after transplanting and the treatment increased by 12.3% compared with the control. At the ripening stage, the root yield and sugar content were measured, and the treatments were 28.8% and 9.9% higher than those of the control, and the input-output ratio was 1:87. For example, under the conditions of high temperature and high humidity in mid-August 1998, brown spot of sugar beets occurred seriously. In the field disease investigation, it was found that the incidence rate in the treatment area was only 1.4%, and the incidence was extremely mild; however, the incidence rate in the control area was as high as 43.6%. It can be seen that GGR has the function of disease prevention and disease resistance.
