Give your baby more tomato food

Tomato foods help improve immunity and reduce disease

Medical researchers believe that tomato food can increase children's immunity and reduce child mortality from severe diarrhea. A survey conducted by researchers from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Taiwan University found that after eating a low level of carrot-like food for 2 weeks, the body's immune function was significantly reduced; and after 2 weeks of tomato juice intake, the body's lycopene increased significantly. The immune function of T lymphocytes is enhanced.

In another experiment, the researchers found that human immunodeficiency virus-positive children had significantly lower levels of lycopene in the blood than normal children.

Children who ingest tomatoes have a 45% reduction in mortality from diarrhoea, and reduce the mortality caused by fever, and reduce the incidence of cough, respiratory infections, and measles. The researchers analyzed that tomatoes contain carotenoids that produce vitamin A, mainly alpha-carotene and beta-carotene. Previous studies have confirmed that supplemental vitamin A can effectively reduce the incidence of diarrhea and mortality, and shorten the diarrhea period of measles patients.
