Honey storage

1. Non-metallic containers such as cylinders, casks, and non-toxic plastic buckets should be used for storage when suitable storage containers are used. If galvanized or tinned tin buckets are used for storage, paint should be applied on the inner wall of the drum with strong adhesion resin coating or lined with non-toxic plastic bags. Otherwise, zinc and tin content in honey will increase. In areas with high honey yields, honey storage pools can be established. Pay attention to the fact that honey cannot be overfilled in the container during storage, especially when transporting, leaving a void at the top of the container. 2. There are many varieties of honey stored in different varieties, such as rape nectar, Vitex negundo nectar and jujube nectar. Each type of honey has its own characteristics and flavors. Therefore, it is necessary to store different types of honey. 3, to ensure that the pure honey honey often contains pollen, wax, bee fin, bee corpse and so on. The common method of removing impurities is to put the honey into a taller barrel and let it settle in a room with high temperature and dryness. The time required for precipitation depends on the temperature of the room. Generally, the indoor temperature needs to be 3 days at 20°C and only 10 hours at 35°C. After the debris sinks, pure honey can be obtained by pouring the barrel. 4, to prevent the honey fermentation yeast often exist in the honey, when the temperature, humidity is appropriate, the yeast will grow and reproduce, causing honey fermentation, rancidity. Immature honey has a high moisture content and is most suitable for the growth of yeast. Therefore, such honey should be pretreated before storage. The method is to put it in a large-mouth container, open it in a dry, ventilated room with a temperature above 25°C, and store it after standing for several days. 5, to prevent honey hygroscopicity of honey is very hygroscopic, therefore, should be placed in a sealed container, and placed in a dry, ventilated indoor storage. Store strong honey in the room without storing strong odor items to prevent honey from absorbing odors. 6, to prevent honey crystallization of the supply of honey must maintain the appearance of transparent liquid state, therefore, to prevent the crystallization of honey. Crystal honey is heated in a double pot. When processing, the outer layer is filled with water and the inner layer is filled with honey. When the water temperature reaches 71° C., it is kept for several minutes. Then it is allowed to stand for 1 day to remove floating foam on the surface and put into a sterile glass bottle to prevent honey from crystallizing.
