The total output of meat, eggs, and milk reached 79.5 million tons, 27.75 million tons, and 38.25 million tons, respectively, an increase of 0.3%, 0.4%, and 2.1%. Aquatic product output exceeded 56 million tons, an increase of 4%.

While comprehensively increasing production, the quality and safety of agricultural products throughout the country have also steadily increased this year. The eligible rates for monitoring vegetables, livestock and poultry products and aquatic products were 97.4%, 99.6%, and 96.8%, respectively. Among them, vegetables and aquatic products rose by 0.6% and 0.1% respectively over the previous year, and livestock and poultry products remained flat.

Since the fourth quarter, trade in wheat, corn and soybeans has been declining, and prices have been under downward pressure; hog prices have been fluctuating and may enter the downtrend channel in the first half of next year; beef and mutton consumption demand continues to rise, and production capacity is difficult to increase; With the impact of the drought, the supply of seed for the breeding season may become tighter next year, and prices of some agricultural products such as potato and cabbage will fluctuate significantly this year.

From next year, the Ministry of Agriculture will launch the implementation of the "National Plan for the Development of the Vegetable Industry" and strengthen the production bases for the advantageous production areas and the construction of the intensive vegetable nursery. To stabilize the holding capacity of vegetable gardens in large and medium-sized cities and increase the self-sufficiency of local seasonal vegetables. Efforts will be made to stabilize pig production, strengthen production monitoring and pre-judgment, start regulatory measures at an appropriate time, and strive to avoid excessive price declines in the next year.
