The effect of stratified application of biogas fertilizer is good

Biogas fertilizer is a highly efficient nutrient source that enhances microbial activity, improves soil structure, and boosts soil's water, fertilizer, gas, heat, and cultivation properties. It plays a vital role in increasing soil fertility. However, some farmers tend to apply all the biogas fertilizer at once, which can reduce its effectiveness. To maximize benefits, it’s important to separate and apply the different layers of biogas fertilizer—upper, middle, and lower—according to their specific characteristics. The upper layer is a liquid fertilizer rich in nitrogen, making it easy for crops to absorb. It is ideal for early-stage fertilization in crops like wheat, corn, cotton, and vegetables. Before using, it should be stored in a secondary pool of the digester for 6 to 7 days to reduce its reducibility, or diluted with water before application. The middle layer is a thick paste-like fertilizer containing high levels of nitrogen, phosphorus, organic matter, and humus. It has strong fertility and is suitable for medium-term application on crops such as wheat, corn, cotton, peanuts, fruit trees, and vegetables. This layer helps promote leaf growth, strengthen stems, and improve grain development. The bottom layer is biogas residue, rich in organic matter, humus, and mineralized nutrients like phosphorus, potassium, and trace elements. It serves as an excellent base fertilizer for a wide range of crops, including wheat, corn, cotton, peanuts, fruit trees, vegetables, and flowers. When applying, it should be evenly spread on the field surface and incorporated into the soil through plowing. After earthworms have been transferred, the biogas fertilizer mixes thoroughly with the soil. However, it is recommended to let the residue sit for 15 days after being removed from the digester before application to ensure optimal performance.
