Winter fish farming technology

Winter free-range fish farming is the use of late rice fields after harvest to the early spring rice in the spring before the growth of rice in the paddy field during the leisure period, generally to raise fish and fish species as much. Winter rice paddy fields have long time accumulation of water, abundant plankton and benthic animals, and residual grains, grass seeds, etc., can be a good food for fish. The use of winter free field fish culture can cultivate large-sized fish species for ponds and reservoirs, remove field weeds and eat pests, increase organic fertilizer in soil, and have less investment and high economic benefits. The first year of stocking in November, and harvesting in May of the following year, the average yield of fresh fish can be more than 30 kg. Its main technical measures are as follows:
First, choose a good winter field. In general, winter fields should be selected that are rich in water, sunny, and convenient for drainage and irrigation. After single-season rice or late rice is harvested, it is not necessary to plough the field soil. Immediately increase the height of the field ridge to 60-80 cm to prevent the water from leaking to escape the fish and keep the water at about 50 cm. Before stocking, use lime to disinfect the field and use 25 kg of lime per acre. After the toxicity of lime disappears, add water and keep the water at a temperature of 15-25°C.
Second, dig a fish pit and set up a fish shed. Winter fish farms are cold, the water temperature is low, and the growth rate is slow. For safe wintering, on the sheltered side of rice fields, a 10-millimeter pit is to be dug, 50-70 cm deep. Put a shelter on the fish pit, covered with straw or branches to keep warm. Under the shed, pigs, cow dung, and other fertilizers are used as bait, which can increase the water temperature and facilitate the growth of fish.
Third, the impoundment of water, fertilization water quality. Before the fish is put into the field, sufficient basal fertilizer should be applied to fertilize the water quality so that the fish can live in winter in the fertilizer water. In general, 5% to 10% of pigs or cow dung should be used per mu, or 3-5% of human excrement.
Fourth, fish stocking. In winter, the fish farming in the free field is to be polycultured, mainly for carp, supplemented by grass carp and carp. Generally about 400 stocking species per mu. If there are not enough fish species, it is also possible to raise a few species individually or less.
Fifth, meticulously reared and strengthened management. Fish is a temperature-changing animal. The water temperature is below 12°C and grows slowly. It stops growing below 5°C. Therefore, to achieve the Spring Festival before the amount of feeding more or less, after the Spring Festival from less to more, at the same time, it is necessary to inspect the fish field facilities, often observe the water color, water level and fish activity, remove residual residue bait And other corrupt materials, add new water in a timely manner and maintain a certain water level.
Six, fish disease prevention and treatment. In winter, the water temperature is low, and there are fewer fish diseases, mainly fishy mildew. Control methods: Before the fishes are planted in the fields, the fish body is soaked and sterilized with 5% salt water. The leaching time is generally 10-20 minutes.
