1. The most common method of observation in an inverted microscope is the phase difference. Since this method does not require staining, it is an ideal method for observing living cells and microorganisms. Various concentrators are provided to meet this need, and this method provides high contrast, high definition images with natural background colors.
2. Boot up. Connect the power supply. Open the electronic control switch at the lower end of the mirror body.
3. Use
(1) Preparation: Place the object to be observed on the stage. Rotate the three-hole converter to select a smaller objective. Observe and adjust the hinged binocular eyepiece for comfort.
(2) Adjusting the light source: Push and pull to adjust the brightness adjuster at the lower end of the mirror body. The size of the light source is adjusted by adjusting the grating below the concentrating mirror.
(3) Adjust the image distance: turn the three-hole converter, select the objective lens of the appropriate multiple; replace and select the appropriate eyepiece; adjust the lifting at the same time to eliminate or reduce the halo around the image and improve the contrast of the image.
(4) Observation: Observe the results through the eyepiece; adjust the stage and select the field of view.
4. Shutdown
Remove the observation object and push and pull the light source brightness adjuster to the darkest. Turn off the switch at the lower end of the mirror body and disconnect the power. Rotate the three-hole converter so that the objective lens is placed on the underside of the stage to prevent dust from settling.
Daily maintenance and precautions
1. All lens surfaces must be kept clean. Dust that falls on the surface of the lens can be blown off with a suction earball. It can also be removed with a soft brush.
2. When the lens surface is stained with oil or fingerprints, gently wipe it with a mixture of absorbent cotton and a little ethanol and ether (3:7).
3. Do not use organic solution to wipe the surface of other parts, especially plastic parts. Use a soft cloth to clean a small amount of neutral detergent.
4. Under no circumstances should the operator wipe the surface of the lens with a cotton lump, dry cloth or dry lens paper. Otherwise, the lens surface will be scratched, the lens will be seriously damaged, and the lens will not be wiped with water. This will leave some residual on the lens surface. Water marks, which may breed mold and seriously damage the microscope.
5. During the intermittent operation of the instrument, in order to prevent dust from entering the lens barrel or the lens surface, the eyepiece can be left on the lens barrel, or the dust plug can be covered, or the instrument can be covered with a dust cover.
6. The micromirror should not move as far as possible. If it needs to be moved, it should be handled gently to avoid collision.
7. It is not allowed to disassemble the instrument at will, especially the intermediate optical system or important mechanical parts, so as not to reduce the performance of the instrument.
