Earthworms harvesting and processing techniques

Earthworms are zoologists belonging to insects, winged suborders, insects that attract attention. There are many types of mantle locusts, and according to the literature, they include the Chinese land mantle, the mantle mantle, the Tibetan mantle, the Yunnan mantle, and the Phnom Penh mantle. At present, artificial breeding is mainly the Chinese wolfberry and earthworms.
Earthworm is a traditional Chinese medicine. The first set of "Shen Nong's Herbal Classics" "The main heart is cold and hot wash, hematopoietic disorders, breakage, blood closure". "Compendium of Materia Medica" "post-natal blood product, injure blood stasis, governance heavy tongue, aphthous ulcers, abdominal pain in children night." “Classified Herbality” says “Treatment of bruises, rheumatism, bone pain, swelling, etc.” is mainly used for women with blood stasis, abdominal pain, bruises, and hematoma. In Chinese patent medicine, there are ingredients such as Beating Pills, Zhishang Powder, Qizhi Powder, Swelling Paste, and Baiyao. At present, it has also been found that Earthworms have anti-cancer functions.
The purpose of breeding locusts is for medicinal purposes. Therefore, when harvesting and processing, they must be harvested and processed in accordance with the quality and specifications of medicinal products.
(A) The male nymphs of the harvested locusts can be harvested when combined with emasculation. Old female nymphs and adults are the main objects of harvesting. When the stocking density reaches a certain amount, in addition to leaving spawning eggs and insects, a large number of harvesting can be performed according to actual conditions. In general, 9-11 instar female nymphs have the heaviest body weight, dry rate of 38%-41%, and dry nymphs of about 400-500 per catty, and the most cost-effective harvest. The male nymphs have a dry rate of 30%-33% at the age of 8 and about 2000 dry nymphs per 500g. Except for 5% of the remaining males for mating, the remaining male nymphs (approximately 30% of the total number) were all picked out so as not to disarm the animals after going out of the wings. The newly mature female nymphs enter the peak period of spawning after mating, and should not be harvested in batches, especially before mid-August. Since the eggs produced by the nymphs can be hatched in the same year, they should strive to obtain the number of eggs and should not be harvested. Female nymphs that have crossed the peak of egg production have begun to age. They can be combined with their eggs. From mid-August onwards until the winter, all adult females who have already laid eggs have been harvested in batches according to their spawning batches. In order to avoid the large number of deaths due to the old body decay during the winter.
When harvesting, use a big bamboo sieve to screen out or grab the earthworms by hand and put them into wooden barrels, porcelain jars or other containers to be processed.
(2) Processing of grasshoppers must be done with good sunlight and good weather to avoid mold deterioration. Drying method is relatively simple, first use the water to wash away the body of sand, and then use boiling water to heat the earthworm. Then exposure in the sun for 3-4 days, to achieve body dry without impurities. When processing locusts, be sure to pay attention to burn and dry. Before processing, it is necessary to stop eating for half a day to one day. After the food that has been eaten is completely digested, it is processed again. If there is residual food in the abdomen, it will be susceptible to mildew and insects after processing, affecting the efficacy. Can also be ground maggot re-drug through the wine, per gram of ground locust with rice wine 100 g or 200 g mix, dry for later use.
The processed earthworm is easy to absorb moisture and worms, especially in summer and autumn. If it is poorly preserved, it will often produce mildew and spoilage. Therefore, before entering the summer season, be sure to kill or dry earthworm locusts, placed in a closed cylinder, mortar, white iron box or dry wooden box, placed in a dry, cool place preservation. If you can put 1/3 of quicklime in the container, it is better to prevent moisture and insects. During the period of preservation, you must check it frequently and find that the abnormal situation should be dealt with in time.
