The benefits of baking soda in livestock and poultry feed

Tests have shown that adding appropriate amounts of baking soda to dairy cows' feed can help digestion, make up energy, stabilize and increase milk production, and prolong lactation. Adding 3 to 5 to broiler and layer chicken feed can lead to fattening 10 to 15 days in advance. The egg production rate increased by 1.5%-2.5%. According to the “World-known” Japanese literature, adding baking soda produced an average of 176 kilograms of milk per cow during the peak period of milk production, and the peak period lasted about 8 months. Feeding cattle with baking soda as an additive feed can promote fattening and improve feed utilization. Feeding beef cattle with 0.5% baking soda can shorten the feeding period by 50 days, weigh up to 680 to 700 kg, and increase feed utilization by 12%. According to studies in the United States, adding appropriate amount of baking soda in the absence of lysine pig feed can compensate for lysine deficiency and increase pig growth rate. According to Russian reports, using baking soda not only increases the weight of the pigs, but also improves the survival rate of the piglets. After the comparison test, the weight of one-month-old piglets increased by 0.5 kg compared with no feeding of soda, 2.7 kg higher at 60 days, and 3.2 kg higher at 70 days. The survival rate of piglets was 5% higher than that of piglets born without soda. According to the experience of the Chinese Association of Dog Breeding in Nanjing, it is shown that adding baking soda to the puppies in a moderate amount has the effects of rapid growth, strong body and killing of some parasites in the body.
