Filter mud aquaculture production increase

Filter sludge is a major by-product of the sugar industry. Practice has shown that fish farming with mud can save costs and increase fish production. Adding a certain proportion of filter mud to the livestock and poultry fish feed can save energy grains of the same weight, and generally can reduce the cost by 15% to 25%. The nutrient composition and application technology are summarized as follows:

First, the filter nutrients. According to analysis by the Feeding Office and the Institute of Metallurgy in Ganzhou, Jiangxi, the filter sludge contains about 16% sugar, pH value of 6.8-7.2, digestive energy of 11.87 MJ/kg, metabolic energy of 10.88 MJ/kg, crude protein powder 13.43. %, crude fiber 8.21%, calcium and phosphorus content were 69.71 and 1.93 times higher than rice. According to the calculation of dry matter, the trace element content is: copper 0.013%, iron 0.38%, manganese 0.08%, zinc 0.016%, cobalt 0.01%, sulfur 2.12%, magnesium 0.19%, potassium 0.32%, sodium 0.01%, and lead and Arsenic and other harmful elements were not exceeded. Judging from the above content of nutrient elements, filter mud is an excellent feed resource with great development potential.

Second, filter mud application technology. Filtrate is a rare “complex fertilizer” for fish farming and a modifier for water quality and sediment.

1. Preparation method for filter mud fish feed. The sludge is directly (or fermented) dried or crushed into powder as a main ingredient, and then the other fine ingredients are added in proportion to make pellets for fish. According to observations, with the mud as the main ingredient of the fish preparation, a variety of food-eating fish prefer to ingest food, especially for grass carp and Ao tilapia.

2. Filter sludge is used as a fertilizer for fish farming. The nitrogen and phosphorus in the fresh sludge are in the form of organic matter and calcium phosphate, which is insoluble in water. However, after these deficiencies, after fermentation, the components have been transformed into nutrients that are beneficial and easily absorbed by aquatic organisms. This enriches the food organisms in the aquaculture. Therefore, fresh sludge can not be directly put into fish ponds, and must be treated before being used as a fertilizer for fish farming. The method of fermenting sludge into mash is to pile up fresh filter mud and cover it well (possible mulch, mud, rice straw, etc.). After 15 to 20 days of complete fermentation, it can be used as a “basal fertilizer” for fish farming. And "dressing." The method and amount of fertilization is about the same as that of other organic fertilizers.

Third, filter mud fish will cause disease? From the above analysis data shows that the poisonous lead and arsenic in the filter mud did not exceed the standard, even if it still contains some toxic substances such as phenols or alkaloids, they have been volatilized or decomposed into non-toxic substances during the drying process. Therefore, fish fed with filter mud will not cause food poisoning in fish. Similarly, the filter mud fertilizer after the retort fermentation, whether it is used as a "basal fertilizer" or "dressing fertilizer" for fish farming, will not cause deterioration of the culture water quality if it is properly applied.
