Non-polluted vegetable fertilization techniques

First, re-apply organic fertilizer

Organic fertilizer not only has a comprehensive nutrient, long-term fertilizer, but also the role of fertilization and soil improvement, which is conducive to high quality and high yield of vegetables. The amount of organic fertilizer applied must be sufficient. In general, 5000 kg of farmyard fertilizer should be applied per acre. Fertilizers should be thoroughly cooked and harmlessly treated before they are applied to kill pathogens, parasite eggs and weed seeds.

Second, limited use of chemical fertilizers

In the process of the growth of pollution-free vegetables, a certain percentage of chemical fertilizers can be applied appropriately, but the application amount must be controlled to be scientific and reasonable. Excessive application of chemical fertilizers can cause pollution to soil and groundwater. The proportion of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers should be improved. Soil testing, fertilization, and rational application should be implemented to facilitate the balanced absorption of nutrients by vegetables.

Third, do not apply nitrate nitrogen fertilizer

The application of nitrate-nitrogen fertilizer such as ammonium nitrate, calcium nitrate and potassium nitrate in vegetable cultivation will double the nitrate content in vegetables. Nitrates can cause degeneration of human hemoglobin and endanger people's health. Therefore, nitrate nitrogen fertilizer is strictly prohibited in vegetable production.

Fourth, nitrogen fertilizer deep cover soil

Deep application of nitrogen fertilizer to cover soil can reduce the chance of contact with air and sunlight to prevent nitrogen from evaporating and contaminating vegetables. Generally, nitrogen fertilizer should be applied at a distance of 10 to 15 cm from the soil surface. Soybean roots and root vegetables with developed root systems should be applied to the roots below 15 cm. Deep nitrogen fertilizer can not only reduce the accumulation of nitrate in vegetables, but also improve its quality and yield.

Fifth, increase the trace elements

Trace elements are an indispensable nutrient in the growing process of vegetables. Although the quantity is small, it plays a role in coordinating various nutrient ratios and promoting photosynthesis. Increasing micronutrient fertilizer can not only increase the yield of vegetables, but also effectively improve the quality of vegetables. However, it must be noted that it must be used correctly and it must not be applied blindly.
